In general, if the kitchen faucet has a straight spout, you need to ‘pull out’ the spray. If the spout points downwards, then you ‘pull down’ to use the spray.
Neutral Hues Whites, beiges and light earth tones work great in most kitchens and with almost any wall color or wallpaper, making them the top choice for those looking to repaint their kitchen cabinets.
Ceramic Tile, Given the numerous shapes, sizes and colors available, ceramic tile is probably the most versatile option (it’s also proven to be timeless). There’s plenty of room to play with patterns while still maintaining clean lines: stack tiles in columns, stagger them, or lay them at an angle. Most tile requires minimal maintenance, just be sure to seal the grout so it doesn’t get stained or absorb water.
Choose a material: The most common material is wood for kitchen cabinets. Wood is durable, versatile, and can be stained or painted and can have a million different looks. Other materials include metal/stainless steel, plastic laminate, and lower quality MDF or particle board. Depending on your lifestyle and budget will help you decide on a material that suits your style and wallet. Metal cabinets and wood are more expensive than plastic laminate and particle board.
The door style makes the cabinet: When choosing cabinetry the door style is what you’re really choosing for your decoration. To find cabinet doors, bring home samples or pictures from your local cabinetry dealer. Choose minimal lines for modern kitchens, exposed simple lines for Craftsman style, and intricate detailed doors for a traditional look. Many cabinetry companies will have a sales person that can bring samples to your home to compare in your kitchen. This is a great idea if you are wavering on a style!
What is the difference between a pull-out spray and a pull-down spray? Both offer the same features and versatility. The difference is in the action required to extract the hand-held spray from the faucet spout.
